Dhami reviews status of transfer of assets cases between UP & U’khand

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed the status of the cases of transfer of assets and liabilities between Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand on Wednesday.

 In the meeting, the CM directed the officials that in the cases in which consensus was reached between the two States in the last meeting and in which the proceedings have started should be resolved soon by holding a meeting with the officials of Uttar Pradesh.

A meeting between the CMs of Uttarakhand and UP on the residual cases of assets and liabilities is likely to be held soon. 

After the last meeting of the two CMs permission has been given for water sports in the reservoirs/canals located in Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts. The Irrigation department of UP has paid a sum of Rs 57.87 crore to Uttarakhand for due electricity bills. Similarly a sum of Rs 3.98 crore has been paid by Uttar Pradesh Fisheries Corporation to Uttarakhand Fisheries Development Authority. Partial payment of dues to Forest Development Corporation Uttarakhand has also been made after the last meeting between the CMs of the two States.

 The meeting was attended by chief secretary Anand Bardhan, principal secretary RK Sudhanshu, R Meenakshi Sundaram, secretary Neeraj Kherwal and other officers.
