Dhami launches development works worth Rs 108 crore in Bageshwar

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched development works worth Rs 108 crore at Kapkot in Bageshwar on the second day of his district visit on Sunday. He inaugurated 25 schemes worth Rs 62 crore and laid the foundation of 18 schemes worth Rs 45.95 crore. Addressing the gathering, he said that the large crowd shows that the government is working in the right direction. Various welfare schemes are being run for the poor, women and youth. He also shared information about the progress made in the Manakhand Mala mission for renovation and beautification of religious sites.

He said that the winter tourism initiative will increase tourism activities in the State across the year, which will generate employment for the locals on a large scale. Working on a policy of zero-tolerance for corruption, the government’s one district- two products has enabled Bageshwar’s traditional copper arts to gain a national identity. Further, work is also underway on the conservation of the Sarayu and Gomti rivers while the survey for the rail line in Bageshwar has also been completed. The CM also said that the Garud hospital will be upgraded to provide better medical facilities to the locals.
