Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has thrown his full weight to make the Global Investors Summit-2023 a huge success. From the last three months the CM has held scores of meetings and attended roadshows in different parts of the country and global destinations such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Birmingham and London. In these roadshows, the CM held meetings with representatives of industry and invited them to invest in Uttarakhand. Apart from holding road shows in foreign destinations the CM has held road shows in Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Mumbai to woo the Indian investors.
The CM had set up a target of attracting investment to the tune of Rs 2.5 lakh crore. The success of the roadshows and meetings with the investors already held by CM has ensured that Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) of the aforementioned amount have already been signed with investors by the State government. It is expected that more MoUs will be inked during the two day summit.
The State government is focussing on tourism and hospitality sector, Ayush and wellness, manufacturing sector, pharmaceuticals, food processing, real estate, green and renewable energy and automobile sectors for the success of the summit. The summit will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Top industrialists of the country and union ministers will attend the two day summit being held in the iconic campus of FRI. The organisers have made arrangements for about 8,000 guests for the mega event. The Union Home minister Amit Shah will preside over the closing ceremony of the two day event.
