Dhami exhorts youths to keep national interest foremost

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami exhorted the youths to keep national interest foremost while discharging their responsibility with dedication and honesty. With this resolve, all citizens will stand united with the nation in every difficult situation, he said. The CM was speaking at Shri Guru Ram Rai University’s annual festival Zenith-25 on the weekend.

Addressing a large gathering of students, he said that the employment scenario is rapidly changing with new opportunities emerging and old ones ending due to innovations. Stressing that the youths should be made future-ready, he spoke about the various measures taken by the State government like signing agreements with various industries and corporates to encourage internship and industry-linked courses. Incubation centres have also been established to boost startups and innovation in order to develop entrepreneurship among youths, Dhami said.

He appreciated the fact that an ultramodern cancer hospital is also being built near the premises of SGRR University, which will prove to be a milestone in treating cancer patients of the State. Cabinet minister Dhan Singh Rawat, MLA Vinod Chamoli, the university’s vice chancellor Kumud Saklani and a large number of students were also present on the occasion.
