In accordance with directives from the Central government, the State government declared a two-day State mourning on April 22 and 23 following the demise of Pope Francis.
The officials informed that during the mourning period, the national flag will be flown at half-mast at all government institutions and establishments. Additionally, there will be no government entertainment programmes organised in the State during this period.
Apart from this, on the day of the funeral, state mourning will continue and the national flag will again be flown at half-mast throughout the day at government venues.
