A demonstration was staged in Badrinath under the banner of the Badrish Sanyukt Sangharsh Samiti (BSSS) to address various issues at Badrinath Dham. The protest involved local residents, representatives from the Panda Panchayat, Mana village and Brahmakapal Tirth Purohits, among others, who protested against aspects of the Badrinath masterplan and other issuesin the temple township.

The president of the Sangharsh Samiti, Pitambar Molfa alleged that the divinity of Badrinath Dham has been compromised. He emphasised that various Panchayats and organisations have repeatedly voiced their concerns, but due to the lack of timely resolutions, the entire community of Badrinath Dham and Mana was compelled to come together and protest.

Molfa informed about the nine key demands of the Samiti, including the revision of the Badrinath masterplan and making it more orderly and removal of the Badrinath Dham area from the area under the purview of the district development authority, among other demands.

Additionally, he said that families affected by the Badrinath Dham masterplan should be officially registered in the Revenue department for the building land allocated to them under the resettlement policy. Their names should also be listed for a share of the land. Further, he urged for a clear rehabilitation policy for the affected families residing in Panchbhaiya Mohalla and Kuber Gali, which have been neglected by the implementing agency during the masterplan execution.
