Delhi blast: Badrinath security strengthened

In the aftermath of the Delhi bomb blast, the security of Badrinath Dham was beefed up. To make things fool-proof for the pilgrims still visiting the shrine, a joint security drive was conducted by the 7th Assam Regiment, Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, district police and SDRF on Tuesday. During the drive, intensive checking was carried out at the temple complex, Taptkund, ghats and some other public places. Special attention was paid to handling potential emergencies, ensuring the safety of pilgrims, and strengthening the rapid response system.
The superintendent of police, Surjeet Singh Panwar stated that the Chamoli district police are conducting special checking and security drills to further strengthen security arrangements in and around the shrine.
