The chief spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni has said that the decision of the Uttarakhand government to allow its employees and officers to attend the programmes of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) and visit its Shakhas is a suicidal measure. She said that the step proves that the BJP has no faith in the constitution. The constitution clearly defines the roles of executive, legislature and judiciary. Dasauni said that the service rules clearly mention that the government employees should not get engaged with any political party.
She said that though the Uttarakhand government has exempted its employees from service regulations it has given an excuse to the employees for remaining absent from their workplace.
Dasauni said that the public representatives always put up a question mark over the efficiency of the executive and now after this order the officers and employees will become completely autocratic. She said that the BJP is fast losing popularity and in desperation the party is now scouting a vote bank in the government employees.
She added that the order has come at a time when Uttarakhand is fighting a battle with the natural disaster. The law and order situation has become pathetic. The Congress leader said that instead of solving problems of the people the BJP government is taking measures which can plunge the State into anarchy.
