DAV Fest-25 concludes on a high note

The two-day DAV Fest-25 concluded at the DAV PG College here on Thursday.
The festival concluded with an address from Bhartendra Singh. It is important to note that Singh, a former member of Parliament and minister, is a prominent figure in Indian politics from the erstwhile royal family of Sahaspur in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh and originally hails from Dehradun. His family’s political heritage dates back to the British era and extends into the current democratic age. Additionally, he boasts an impressive educational background, having completed his intermediate studies at The Doon School in Dehradun. The college officials informed that Singh made a special appearance at the closing ceremony of the fest, which was a point of pride for all attendees.
In his address, Singh motivated the students with a message centred on culture, commitment and national service. He remarked, “Today’s youth should aim not only for job opportunities but also to be sources of inspiration for society and the nation through their knowledge, abilities and integrity. The stronger our foundations, the further we can soar. The confluence of local culture and contemporary education serves as the core of India’s revival.” He also encouraged students to identify their roles in various sectors, including civil services, academic research, agricultural science, technology and entrepreneurship, urging them to exemplify “value-based leadership”.Singh stressed that the tradition of contributing to nation-building has always been fundamental to DAV College and he called on all students to uphold this legacy.
