CSIR-IIP celebrated World Environment Day with the theme ‘Ending Plastic Pollution’. Among the dignitaries present were the Air Vice Marshal, KAA Sanjeeb and Wing Commander A S Sachan. The chief scientist, Hemant Kulkarni stressed on combating plastic pollution through multipronged approach and life style change. The director, CSIR-IIP, H S Bisht thanked IAF for providing pivotal support for the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) technology and emphasised the need to adopt energy efficient technologies to reduce carbon footprint. Sanjeeb said that IAF is happy with its collaboration with CSIR-IIP on SAF technology.
