CS reviews preparations for foundation day programme at FRI

Chief secretary Anand Bardhan reviewed the preparations for the 25th anniversary of the State foundation day programme at Forest Research Institute (FRI) on Saturday. The main programme of the silver jubilee celebrations of the State’s foundation day will be held at FRI on November 9. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the ceremony. During his visit, the CS directed the officers that all the security and other arrangements should be done in view of the expected visit of the PM.

 He said that it is expected that about 60,000 to 70,000 people will visit the main programme of the State Foundation day on November 9 at FRI and that all the preparations should be made accordingly.  The CS directed the officers that the arrangements should be such that the general public face no problem while arriving and leaving the venue. He added that in view of the PM’s programme, a comprehensive traffic management and parking plan should be made so that there is no traffic related inconvenience on the day.

 The director general of police Deepam Seth, secretaries Shailesh Bagauli, BVRC Purushottam, Vinay Shankar Pandey, Vinod Kumar Suman, district magistrate of Dehradun Savin Bansal, director general information Banshidhar Tiwari and other senior officers accompanied the CS during the visit to FRI.
