A former all–rounder and a member of the 1983 World Cup winning team, Madan Lal along with his wife visited the Corbett National Park in Ramnagar and appreciated its wildlife beauty. His long-cherished dream to have a close-up wildlife experience had been finally fulfilled here, he added. Madan Lal had represented the Indian cricket team from 1974 to 1987.
Recalling the memories of the 1983 World Cup victory, he said that the victory had infused a cricket passion into the children across India. He also hailed India’s victories in 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup and the Champions Trophy, adding that these reflected India’s growing strength in cricket.
