Covid curfew from 10 pm to 6 am in U’khand

The old age and widow pension increased again

Concerned over a sharp increase in the number of cases of Covid-19, the Uttarakhand government has extended the Covid-19 curfew by two hours. The curfew would now be enforced from 10 pm to 6 am. A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the state cabinet held on Wednesday. The government spokesperson Subodh Uniyal said that a decision to enforce Covid-19 restrictions in the state till March 2022 was also taken in the meeting of the state cabinet. 

The cabinet also decided to further increase the old age and widow pensions. The beneficiaries of these categories would now receive a monthly pension of Rs 1500 per month. In another decision aimed at the upcoming assembly elections the state government increased the remuneration of Shiksha Mitras from existing Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 per month. The cabinet also approved the proposal to increase the number of posts of Ayush medical officers in the Ayurveda hospitals of the state. Uniyal informed the cabinet authorized the CM to take a decision on the proposal to merge the Horticulture and Agriculture departments. In another decision directed to woo the ex servicemen voters the state cabinet exempted ex servicemen of all categories from payment of house tax.
