Covid-19 tally crosses 58 K mark

376 fresh cases, three deaths reported on Sunday

The number of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) patients in Uttarakhand went past 58000 figure mark on Sunday with the state health department reporting 376 cases of the disease. The state now has 58024 patients with the disease.  The department also reported the death of three patients of the disease on the day after which the death toll from the disease mounted to 927.

The authorities discharged 162 patients of the disease after their recovery from different hospitals of the state. A total of 50982 patients have so far recovered from the disease. The recovery rate from the disease has climbed to 87.86 Infection Rate (IR) though remains moderately high at 6.66 percent.

One patient each was reported dead at Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun, Himalayan hospital and Sushila Tiwari government hospital, Haldwani on Sunday. The authorities reported 128 patients from Dehradun, 42 from Pauri, 34 from Nainital, 31 from Tehri, 29 from Chamoli, 28 from Haridwar, 22 from Udham Singh Nagar,16 from Champawat, 13 from Uttarkashi, 11 from Bageshwar, 10 from Rudraprayag, eight from Pithoragarh and four from Almora on Sunday. The state now has 5728 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 1813 active cases is at top of table while Haridwar with 759 active cases is on second spot. Nainital has 593, Pauri 461, Udham Singh Nagar 358, Tehri 297, Uttarkashi 292, Chamoli 231, Rudraprayag 211, Champawat 208 Pithoragarh 202 and Almora 183 active cases of the disease. With 120 active cases of Covid-19, Bageshwar is at the bottom of the table of active cases in Uttarakhand.
