Covid-19- Mahant Indiresh hosp sets up task force

It has reserved 251 General Beds and 71 ICU Beds for the treatment of Covid patients

The major hospitals of Uttarakhand have started preparing to combat the probable third wave of the pandemic of Covid-19. In this context the Mahant Indiresh Hospital has formed a task force under the Medical Superintendent (MS) of the hospital. On Wednesday a meeting was convened by the Principal of Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical and Health Sciences on the preparations for the pandemic. The meeting was attended by experts of Pulmonary Medicine, Anesthesia, Team of Emergency Doctors, Nursing and Paramedical Staff. A special Covid Task Force has been formed at the hospital. The Covid Task Force will be co-coordinating to give quick response in treatment to each and every Covid patient coming to Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital.

The Principal Dr Yashbir Dewan said that keeping in mind the sensitivity of First and Second Waves of Corona, the Mahant Indiresh Hospital has reserved 251 General Beds and 71 ICU Beds for the treatment of Covid patients. Separate ICU Beds and treatment facilities have been made for the pediatric patients.

He said that in case of an outbreak of third wave Mahant Indiresh Hospital will be cooperating and-coordinating with the Uttarakhand Government.  The hospital has decided to keep and maintain the stock of oxygen and ICU Beds. The Principal has directed to activate the Oxygen Tank of 20,000 Kilograms capacity with full capacity.

“The effect of Third Wave of Corona increase in Covid infected patients is also being witnessed in Uttarakhand. In the last few days, there has been an abrupt rise in the number of Corona Positive patients in Dehradun.  This is a time for the common people to be more cautious and alert,’’ he said.
