Dhami pays homage to father of nation at Gandhi ashram

On the second day of his Gujarat visit, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Gandhi ashram in Gandhinagar on Thursday where he paid glowing tributes to the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi. In the Ashram the CM also weaved cloth on the spinning wheel and viewed the Ashram and its functioning. Dhami also shared his views on Gandhi in the visitor’s book of the ashram.

 He said that Mahatma Gandhi gave the message of peace, non violence and love to the entire world. Dhami claimed that he has been inspired by Gandhi since childhood. The CM said that the works of Mahatma Gandhi during the freedom movement always inspire everyone. He said that we should make a commitment to make India one of the leading countries of the world.

 Earlier in the day the CM who is on a visit to Gujarat to woo the representatives of the industry to invest in Uttarakhand and invite them to the ‘ Global Investors summit’ proposed in Dehradun in December, met the Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel at his residence. He handed a picture of Kedarnath temple to his Gujarat counterpart. Dhami requested Patel that the demand of the people of Uttarakhand residing in Gujarat to construct a Uttarakhand Bhawan in Ahmedabad should be fulfilled. The duo discussed the development projects in both the States. Dhami also invited Patel to Uttarakhand.
