20 new cases reported in U’khand

The state health department reported only 20 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 15 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Tuesday. No death from the disease was reported in the state on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,695 while a total of 33,0022 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7397 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 virus till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96.02 per cent while the sample positivity rate on Tuesday was 0.13 per cent.
The state health department reported eight new patients from Nainital, five from Dehradun, four from Rudraprayag and one each from Champawat, Haridwar and Uttarkashi on Tuesday. No new case of Covid-19 was reported from the remaining districts on the day.
The state now has 158 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 98 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Tehri and Champawat have no active cases of the disease now.
In the ongoing vaccination drive 24,918 people were vaccinated in 827 sessions in the state held on Tuesday.
