Covid-19; 21 new cases, 14 recoveries in U’khand

The state health department reported 21 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 14 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Saturday. No death from the disease was reported on the day in the state. 

The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,376 while a total of 3,29,619 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7390 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 95.99 while the sample positivity rate on Saturday was 0.12 per cent.

The state health department reported nine new patients of Covid -19 from Dehradun, six from Chamoli, two each from Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi and one each from Almora and Pauri on Saturday. No new cases of the disease were reported from Bageshwar, Champawat, Haridwar, Nainital, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Tehri on the day.

The state now has 282 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 137 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Pauri has 31 active cases. Tehri has active cases of the disease.

In the ongoing vaccination drive 1,07,616 people were vaccinated in 961 sessions in the state held on Saturday. As per the data of the state health department 72,04,768 people in the state have received the first dose of vaccine while 27,00,855 have received both doses of the vaccine.
