Covid-19; 20 new cases, 28 recoveries in U’khand

The state health department reported 20 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 28 recoveries from the disease on Thursday. No death from the disease was reported on the day in the state. 

The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,330 while a total of 3,29,582 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7389 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96 while the sample positivity rate on Thursday was 0.10 per cent.

The state health department reported seven new patients of Covid -19 from Dehradun, three from Nainital, two each from Chamoli and Pauri and one each from Almora, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi and Tehri districts on the day. 

The state now has 284 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 142 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Pauri has 29 active cases. Tehri and Udham Singh Nagar have no active cases of the disease.

In the ongoing vaccination drive 60,548 people were vaccinated in 935 sessions in the state held on Thursday. As per the data of the state health department 71,11,926 people in the state have received the first dose of vaccine while 25,13,440 have received both doses of the vaccine.
