Covid-19; 13 new cases, one death in U’khand

The state health department reported 13 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 17 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Friday. Death of one patient from the disease was reported in the state on the day which increased the death toll to 7395 in the state.

The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,550 while a total of 3,29,893 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7395 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96.02 while the sample positivity rate on Friday was 0.08 per cent.

The state health department reported eight new patients of Covid -19 from Dehradun, two from Pithoragarh and one each from Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi districts on Friday. No new cases were reported from remaining districts on the day.

Death of one patient was reported from the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) Rishikesh on Friday.

The state now has 162 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 96 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Chamoli has 11 active cases. Tehri and Bageshwar have only one active case while Champawat has no active case of the disease.

In the ongoing vaccination drive 39,370 people were vaccinated in 803 sessions in the state held on Friday.
