In latest news from Uttarakhand, the former Dwarahat MLA Mahesh Negi has got a clean chit from the court in the rape and intimidation case filed by a woman from Dwarahat who had accused Negi of rape, claiming that Negi was her daughter’s father. A case had been registered against former MLA on the court’s order in Nehru Colony police station. Thereafter, Negi had registered a blackmailing complaint against the woman. The former MLA also filed a defamation claim of Rs two crore against the woman. This case is pending in the court.
