BJP to focus on coming polls & achievements in 2-day working committee meet

The Bharatiya Janata Party will discuss its plans for the coming elections, various schemes and programmes executed during the eight-year tenure of the Central government so far and different organisational issues in its State working committee meeting being held in Haldwani. Political resolutions will also be tabled during the meeting. The BJP State president Madan Kaushik said this while addressing the media before the start of the two-day meeting on Tuesday.

Speaking at a Press conference held at a local hotel here, Kaushik said that the focus of the party’s State working committee meeting will be on the coming elections. Stating that this meeting will be special for the coming elections, he said that discussions will be held on the coming local body, Panchayat and Lok Sabha elections during the two-day deliberations. Apart from this, the focus will also be on the eight-year tenure of the Union government so far under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Discussions will be held on how much the public has benefitted from the public welfare schemes being executed by the Union government. The BJP State president further said that after the conclusion of the working committee meeting, rallies will be taken out across the State from June 9 to 12. The public will be informed about the achievements of the Union and State governments through these rallies. In addition to this, all the cells of the party have also been given a 15-day programme to undertake. Kaushik said that the party’s district working committees will meet between June 10 and 20 after which the 252 Mandal working committees will meet between June 20 and 30. The second day of the State working committee’s meeting on Wednesday will be attended by about 300 office bearers of the party including all cabinet ministers, MPs and MLAs. The party will also focus on connecting as many people as possible with the BJP, added Kaushik.
