Congress starts preparing strategy for 2027 Vidhan Sabha polls

Senior leaders of Uttarakhand Congress held a brainstorming session in presence of the State co-in charges of the party at Congress Bhawan on Monday. In the meeting the party leaders dwelt on the strategy for the Vidhan Sabha election of 2027.
Presiding over the meeting, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal said that the VS election of 2027 is not merely an election but is associated with the future of Uttarakhand. He said that no power can stop the Congress party if the party workers set their foot firmly at booth level. Godiyal added that the BJP has shattered the hopes of the people of Uttarakhand. Former chief minister Harish Rawat said that the people of Uttarakhand reeling under price rise and unemployment want change in the State. He said that the party organisation needed to be revived and strengthened at village level. The chairman of the election management committee Harak Singh Rawat said that the Congress party has a clear vision and target which is to bring the party back in power in the State in 2027. The co-in charge of the State Congress Manoj Yadav said that the Congress will move forward with discipline, organisation and coordination in the State.
Congress leader Prem Baukhandi presented five proposals of ‘ Safe Uttarakhand’, ‘ social, economic and environmental safety’, ‘ happy family’, ‘ healthy life’ and ‘employment guarantee’ in the meeting which were accepted for mission 2027 of the party.
Former VS speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal, former cabinet minister Hira Singh Bisht, Navprabhat, women Congress president Jyoti Rautela also expressed their views. MLAs Sumit Hridayesh, Vikram Singh Negi, Anupma Rawat, Lakhpat Butola, head of frontal organisations of the party and others attended the meeting.
