Congress questions CM Dhami’s urban naxal comment

PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun

Taking strong exception to the recent statement of chief minister Puskhar Singh Dhami in which he mentioned about the people engaging in a fake narrative against the State government and urban naxals, the leaders of Congress party have said that the government should direct the police to take action against such people.

The former Pradesh Congress Committee president Ganesh Godiyal said that people asking for better health facilities and raising their protest on different issues should not be treated as a fake narrative. He said that the CM is also alleging that vested interests are trying to spread anarchy in the State which shows that the government machinery has failed. Godiyal said that the CM should also explain as to what is the definition of urban naxals.

In another diatribe, the chief spokesperson of PCC,  Garima Dasauni said that it is surprising that all the incidences of land Jihad, love Jihad, spit Jihad and Nakal Jihad are taking place during the tenure of CM Dhami. She said that the CM has maintained a stoic silence on the corruption charges on the ministers and the Horticulture scam, Sainik Dham scam and recruitment scams in the State. As per the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) report Uttarakhand is ranked number one in the cases of crime against women in the nine Himalayan States in the country but instead of taking action, the State government is trying to divert attention by creating a false narrative about urban naxals in the State.
