Bhatt questions how much black money Congress MPs may have if Rs 300 crore found with one

The Bharatiya Janata Party State president Mahendra Bhatt has said that considering the Rs 300 crore cash being recovered on the premises of Congress Rajya Sabha MP Dhiraj Sahu, the Indian National Congress should be called the Indian corruption party. He questioned how much black money all the Congress MPs may be possessing if such a large sum has been found with one of its MPs. The Congress is breaking its own past records in corruption and setting all time records, he alleged. Bhatt said this while addressing the media at the party’s State office here on Sunday.
The BJP State president said, “The latest instance has proved yet again that the hand of the Congress is with the corrupt.Black money used to be recovered from Congress leaders when the party was in power and the same is happening even now when the party is almost distant from power. The Rs 300 crore cash found with a Congress MP is the largest sum found in independent India and the recovery and counting of money is still continuing. How much black money all the Congress MPs might have if only one of its MPs has so much?”
Bhatt further alleged that the Congress leaders in Uttarakhand too are not untouched by corruption. “The nation has seen them on camera issuing a license to loot the State. It is highly unfortunate that the biggest and oldest opposition party’s leaders from the State to Delhi are either in jail on corruption charges or out on bail. This Congress MP with the black money had taken up the responsibility for party leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. Even after losing the Lok Sabha election twice, the Congress got him into the Rajya Sabha since 2010.It is evident how the top leadership of the Congress shelters its corrupt leaders. Even in the past black money was found with leaders of the Congress and its alliance partners whether it be Rs 42 crore found in the home of a Congress leader in Bengaluru, Rs 200 crore cash found in premises of Piyush Jain during the Uttar Pradesh election, Rs 50 crore cash and gold found with Mamata Banerjee’s minister Partha Chatterjee or Rs 142 crore black money recovered in Chennai,” Bhatt said.
Targetting Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and the party’s national president Mallikarjun Kharge, he said that it is surprising that these leaders have remained silent after such a large sum of black money has been found with one of the party’s MPs. He claimed that while the opposition alliance guarantees corruption, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a guarantee for eradication of corruption. Assuring the public and warning the Congress that PM Modi had guaranteed that no corrupt person will be spared, he said that under Modi’s leadership the BJP governments will continue to send the corrupt behind bars.
