Congress afflicted with Modi phobia, says BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party state president Ajay Bhatt has criticised the statement made by Congress national general secretary and former chief minister Harish Rawat suggesting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should repent during his visit to Kedarnath. Bhatt also criticised Congress leaders for opposing the Prime Minister’s proposed visit to Badrinath and Kedarnath on May 18-19. He opined that Congress leaders are afflicted with Modi phobia. Bhatt stated, “The Congress leaders should seek forgiveness from the people of the nation for the sins committed by their party leaders in Uttarakhand and across the country. However, it has been the Congress’ character to act righteous after committing theft. This is why the people in this democracy are going to hand out a big punishment to it.Earlier, the people of Uttarakhand had given a befitting reply to the Congress in the Vidhan Sabha elections and now in the Lok Sabha elections too the people of the State and the whole nation are about to hand out a beating to that party.” The BJP state president further said that the Congress leaders are clearly foreseeing their defeat in the Lok Sabha elections. In Uttarakhand, the BJP is winning all the five seats. Due to the Modi wave across the nation, the BJP and its allies are going to achieve a resounding electoral victory. The Congress leaders are frustrated due to this and hence opposing Modi’s visit to Uttarakhand. He said, “The PM is visiting Uttarakhand for spiritual purpose but faithless Congress leaders are exhibiting their pettiness by making senseless statements. In the elections, the Congress president is visiting temples, mosques and other such places but Modi is visiting Badrinath and Kedarnath more than a month after polling was held in the State. It is unfortunate and condemnable that the Congress is making this Yatra of the Prime Minister a subject of political criticism. This also shows the extent to which the Congress leaders are afflicted with Modi phobia,” opined Bhatt. Friday, 17 May 2019 | PNS | Dehradun
