Cong starts training workers for assembly elections

Increasing its activities ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, the Uttarakhand Congress has started the  Mera Booth, Mera Gaurav campaign in Uttarakhand.

The vice president of Uttarakhand Congress Dhirendra Pratap said that the party has decided to ensure direct participation of the booth level workers in the campaign and for it the party would hold an extensive training programme. On October 9 and 10 the party had organised a state level programme for training the master trainers. Pratap said the trained workers have started training other workers in every assembly constituency from Wednesday. The party has appointed five convenors, one for each parliamentary constituency for the training programme. In Tehri Lok Sabha, Jot Singh has been appointed while Manish Khanduri has been appointed for Pauri, Qazi Nizamuddin for Haridwar, Lalit Pharswan for Almora and Harish Kumar Singh for Nainital.

The in-charge of Uttarakhand Congress Devendra Yadav said that the Congress believes in giving respect to the booth level workers and making every booth strong. He said that after organising a state level training programme the party is now holding assembly segment wise training sessions and within one month the booth level training programmes would be organised in all parts of the state.
