Cong gears up for Bharat Bachao, Samvidhan Bachao rally
Pritam exhorts party leaders and workers to ensure success of the rally
The state unit of Congress party is gearing itself for the proposed Bharat Bachao, Samvidhan Bachao (save India, save constitution) March. On the call given by the Congress President, Sonia Gandhi the march would be held at state capital Dehradun on December 28. On Thursday, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president, Pritam Singh took stock of the preparation for the proposed programme at Rajiv Bhawan. In the meeting, the office bearers of the Mahanagar Congress committee and ward presidents took part. The programme of the proposed march was charted out in the meeting. Addressing the meeting, Pritam Singh said that the people of the country are facing hardships in the BJP rule under Prime Minster Narendra Modi. Launching an attack on the union government, the PCC president said that decisions which are against the basic principles of the constitution are being taken which have created an atmosphere of fear and anarchy in the whole country. He said that under the BJP rule the poor, minorities, women and farmers are finding themselves unsafe and an atmosphere of fear is prevailing in the state.
The PCC president blasted the union government for failing to control spiraling prices, downward slum of economy and deteriorating law and order situation. He said that the successful rally organised by the Congress party under leadership of Sonia Gandhi at Ramlila ground recently and the results of assembly elections of Jharkhand have proved that the people of the country are fed up with the anti people and anti constitution polices of the government and is eager to throw BJP out of power.
Exhorting the party workers and leaders to take part in the proposed foot march, ‘ Bharat Bachao and Samvidhan Bachao’ on December 28 in Dehradun, Pritam Singh sounded confident about success of the programme. The meeting was attended by vice president Surya Kant Dhasmana, Vijay Saraswat, Garima Mahra Dassauni, Ajay Singh, Aryendra Sharma and others.
