The Uttarakhand Congress has again accused the state government of mismanagement in the ongoing Char Dham Yatra. The spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni said on Sunday that the decision of the state government to send back the pilgrims without registration is an insult to the glorious tradition of hospitality of the state. She said that unregistered pilgrims are being asked to return at the last moment due to which they are stranded. The Congress leader said that gross mismanagement prevails in  the system and the ministers including the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami are issuing contradictory statements. Welcoming the government’s move to install oxygen parlours for the pilgrims on Yatra routes, Dasauni said that though reluctantly the government has started working on the suggestions given by the Congress party. She said that the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara first of all advocated setting up of oxygen parlours as many pilgrims are having breathing problems due to Covid infection in the past. She said that the PCC president himself went to the Kedarnath shrine on foot and visited Badrinath and based on his observations, gave many suggestions to the state government regarding the Yatra.
