The Mahila Dugdh Utpadak Sahakari Samiti was inaugurated as part of Nainital Dugdh Utpadak Sahakari Sangh’s initiative to facilitate self employment for women through dairy cooperatives. Uttarakhand Dairy Cooperative Federation Limited chairman Mukesh Bora and BJP district head PS Bisht inaugurated the committee in Haldwani block on Friday.
On Thursday, three women primary dairy committees aimed at enhancing dairy production and involvement of women in dairy cooperatives in remote mountainous areas were inaugurated in the Okhalkanda area of Nainital district. Bora informed that on the directions of Dairy Development minister Saurabh Bahuguna the three women dairy committees were inaugurated as part of efforts to maximise the participation of women in dairy cooperatives.
