In latest news from Uttarakhand, one of the two sharp shooters Amarjit Singh-accused of the Tarsem Singh murder case-who was carrying a police bounty of Rs 1 lakh on his head- was killed in encounter with police in Bhagwanpur area in Haridwar in the wee hours. Informing this, the director general of police Uttarakhand Abhinav Kumar said that his accomplice Sarvjit Singh had fled and police have intensified manhunt for him. Haridwar police and Special Task Force (STF) had launched joint operation to nab the accused duo who were at large.
Notably, the Karseva head of Nanakmatta Gurdwara in Udham Singh Nagar district Baba Tarsem Singh was gunned down by two bike-borne assailants on the morning of March 28.
