Cold wave condition alert issued for two plain districts

The State meteorological centre has issued an alert regarding the possibility of cold day conditions and cold wave conditions in parts of two plain districts on Monday. According to the weather forecast, dense to very dense fog is likely to occur in some parts of plains especially Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts of Uttarakhand. Cold day conditions are likely to occur at a few places in Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts while cold wave conditions are likely to occur at isolated places in Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts on Monday.

While dry weather is likely to prevail in the rest of the districts, the provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear to partly cloudy sky with mist likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 23 degrees Celsius and six degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.

Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Sunday were 23.1 degrees Celsius and six degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 18.1 degrees Celsius and 4.1 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 11.4 degrees Celsius and 2.1 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 14.6 degrees Celsius and 3.8 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
