COAS General Pandey to review Passing Out Parade at IMA

The passing out parade at IMA would be organized on December 10, 2022. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Manoj Pande, will be the reviewing officer of the parade. According to the academy officials, 344 gentlemen cadets (GCs) including 30 cadets from 10 friendly foreign nations would pass out of the prestigious training academy in the ceremony.

A communiqué from the IMA stated, “The ceremonies associated with the passing out parade will commence on  Dec 10, with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony, where homage will be paid to the brave alumni of this prestigious training academy who have made the supreme sacrifice to uphold the honor of the nation and protect its sovereignty, in keeping with the highest traditions of the Indian Army. The parents and the family members of the passing out GCs shall be attending the ceremonies and also solemnize the pipping ceremony.”

“The Indian Military Academy at Dehradun stands tall amongst its peers across the world. Since its raising in 1932, a total of 64,145 Indian GCs and 2,813 foreign GCs from 35 friendly foreign countries have been trained and commissioned as proud army officers from the portals of IMA. With the current strength of foreign trainees, almost every fourth GC in the academy is from a foreign military reflecting the stellar international standing of the academy and its reputed training regime,” the communique adds.
