Foolproof arrangements made in snow-covered Kedarnath

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat reviewed preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Kedarnath on the occasion of Deepawali on November 7. The Chief Minister directed officials concerned to make fool-proof arrangements for the occasion. Kedarnath_arrangments The State’s chief secretary Utpal Kumar Singh informed the chief minister that all preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit to Kedarnath have been completed on time. Following snowfall, the accumulated snow is being cleared off consistently from the path between the ‘VIP’ helipad and the shrine. The Prime Minister will reach Kedarnath at 9:45 AM on Wednesday. After ceremonial worship at the Kedarnath temple, the Prime Minister will inspect the reconstruction works undertaken at the site damaged in the 2013 disaster. Then, at the guest house in the temple premises, the Prime Minister will view a video presentation related to the reconstruction works. The chief secretary further informed that the recent snowfall has enhanced the beauty of the Kedarnath temple township.
