CM of Nepal’s province meets Dhami, discusses border area devt

In latest news from Doon, a 10-member delegation led by the chief minister of Nepal’s Sudurpashchim province, Kamal Bahadur Shah met the chief minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami at the latter’s residence on Saturday. During the meeting, both laid stress on further strengthening the friendly relations between India and Nepal and bilateral cooperation in the border areas. Matters like accelerating development works in mutual coordination in the border districts, promoting cultural and religious relations, tourism development and disaster management figured in the discussion.
Dhami said that Uttarakhand and Nepal share centuries-old historical, social and cultural relations. He assured all possible cooperation from the Uttarakhand government in matters of trade, health, education and infrastructure development in the border areas.
