CM leads Har Ghar Tiranga march in Dehradun

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in a Prabhat Pheri held here on Tuesday morning as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Public representatives, government officials and police officers along with departmental officials were present in this march organised by the Education department.

Dhami said that various programmes are being organised as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The revolutionaries who laid down their lives for the nation’s freedom are being remembered by all Indians. The CM exhorted people of the State to put up the national flag in their homes from August 13 to 15 as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. He said, “The stories of the bravery of the freedom fighters and revolutionaries who gave their vital contribution to the freedom struggle will continue to inspire our younger generation. Our children are the future of the nation,” he said.

The CM further said that the State government is making efforts towards making Uttarakhand a model State by 2025 when the State celebrates the silver jubilee of the State’s creation.  All the departments have been directed to prepare 10-year roadmaps for the State’s all-round development. The departments have also been given a targe to ascertain the important tasks which can be executed on the ground in three years, he said.

Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that thousands had participated in the march held in Dehradun as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. An elaborate publicity campaign is being undertaken to ensure that there is a tricolour at every home from August 13 to 15, added the minister.

MLA Khajan Das, Dehradun mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’, director general of police Ashok Kumar, Dehradun district magistrate Sonika and other officials along with members of the public were also among those present on the occasion.
