CM launches portal for official transparency & swift disposal of files

Saturday, 30 April 2022 | PNS | Dehradun

In an effort to increase transparency in the system and for swift disposal of the files the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the online portal of CM’s references and letters on Friday. This portal has been integrated with CM helpline 1905.

Speaking on the occasion Dhami said that the state government is committed to quick disposal of public problems and complaints. He asserted that the CM helpline number 1905, Apani Sarkar Portal and corruption-free Uttarakhand app 1064 would be reviewed at different levels. This review would be every 15 days by the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of CM and every one month by the chief secretary. The CM himself would hold a review every three months. He stressed that the focus of his government is on simplification, solution and disposal. He added that a review of the steps taken by different departments for making things simpler would be soon done. Dhami said that he would also review the roadmap prepared by the different departments for the next ten years. The CM directed that the e office system should be strengthened at the state administration and district level. On a stern note the CM said that the officers would have to give clarification for not disposing of the files in the stipulated time period.

The new portal would ensure that all the letters received by the office of CM would be available by the secretary and officers of department concerned with click of the mouse.  The complainant would also receive a message of this in his mobile number and the complainant would also receive a link on his phone by which he can check the status of the complaint and action taken on it. The officers of the department concerned would have to dispose of the complaint within a stipulated period of time and if it is not done the complaint would escalate to his senior officer.

By linking the portal of CM’s letters with the 1905 helpline would also save the time taken for physically sending the files to the department concerned. The complainant would get regular updates on the status of his complaints.

The CM also held telephonic interaction with Mukesh Ram of Champawat on the occasion and got information about his problem. He said that his issue has been forwarded to the district magistrate (DM) of Champawat.

The ACS Radha Raturi, special principal secretary Abhinav Kumar, Secretary Shailash Bagoli and others were present on the occasion.
