The Bharatiya Janata Party has termed the decision of bringing a law to give life imprisonment to people involved in cheating scams of recruitment examinations in Uttarakhand as a last nail in the coffin in examination mafia and would go a long way in the direction of preventing such scams in future.

The proposed anti-copying act would be the most stringent act of the country that will prevent cheating mafia to rob the employment rights of youths, said the state in-charge of BJP Manveer Singh Chauhan. He said that chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has been taking instant actions against corruption, unlike his Congress counterparts who had just suppressed such issues in their government. He said the proposed anti-copying act after the Lekhpal-Patwari paper leak case is an extraordinary step by the government against people involved in misconduct of recruitment examinations and their properties will also be confiscated by authorities. Unlike Congress who had suppressed corruption issues in the past that boosted the morale of such mafia, the BJP-led government is taking actions to instil fear in culprits, added Chauhan. He said that the examinations have been delayed by a month but they will be conducted with proper transparency. He said that this proposed act must have instilled hope in youths and rest assured, nobody will rob them of their rights.
