CM inaugurates first Gaja Ghantakarn Mahotsav in Tehri

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the first Gaja Ghantakarn Mahotsav at government inter college Gaja Tehri on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that such festivals help in promoting the rich culture and tradition He said that the Gaja Ghantakarna temple is one of the important mythological temples of the State and after the circumambulation of Badrinath, the second circumambulation is done here.
The CM said that the area is also important from a tourism point of view as from here one can see both Haridwar and the Himalayas. He said that the foundation of development is being laid here by the organisation of the festival.
The CM said that the Prime Minister’s goal of developing India by 2047 will be achieved only when the village, panchayat, region, district and Uttarakhand develop. The state government is striving to make Uttarakhand one of the best states of India.
He said that India’s economy has jumped from 11th to fourth place and by 2027 it will emerge as the third largest economy of the world.
The CM said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India’s culture and heritage are in its Amrit Kaal and listed the consecration of Ram temple in Ayodhya, Mahakal in Ujjan, master plan of Badrinath and reconstruction work in Kedarnath as examples.
He said that the State government has taken many historic decisions, including Uniform Civil Code (UCC) law, anti-copying law, conversion law and formulation of strict land laws for the people of Uttarakhand.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also felicitated local meritorious students who have been selected in MBBS, IIT, NIT and Indian Navy. The Forest minister Subodh Uniyal and others attended the programme.
