The chief minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off a special Kalash Yatra in the presence of the Mahamandaleshwar Swami Santosh Anand here on Friday. The yatra has set off for Kushinagar in Uttar Paradesh for Jalabhishek at the temple of the Sun God. Notably, water from 151 sacred rivers across India has been collected for the Jalabhishek ceremony and these rivers include some of Uttarakhand.
The CM offered puja to this collection of sacred water before he flagged off the yatra.
