Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami came crystal clear about laying down the formation for new districts in the state on Friday. He was reported to be saying that further decision will be taken after he has received the report of the commission which has been constituted regarding the matter and promised to complete developmental schemes in a time bound manner. Narrating his childhood experience of travelling to the town in a bus from Khatima, he told that he sees potential in the development of the town and that Pithoragarh will be included in the smart city plan in the second phase. According to the sources, he also said that airplane services will start from Pithoragarh to Dehradun and Delhi soon. He also talked about the base hospital in Pithoragarh and that late Prakash Pant,who was MLA and Cabinet Minister had made immense contribution in its construction and therefore the hospital will be named after him.
