CM Dhami inaugurates Multilevel parking in Mussoorie

Inaugurates & lays foundation stones of projects worth Rs 200 crores for Mussoorie

In a pre-election gift the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated and laid foundation stones of projects worth Rs 200 crore for Mussoorie on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, Dhami said that Mussoorie and Khatima were the birthplaces of the statehood movement. He said that the state government is committed to transform the dreams of the statehood activists to reality. The CM claimed that development works of more than Rs 1 lakh crores have occurred in the state in the last five years. He said that Mussoorie is one of the major tourist spots and here the need of a parking place was being felt for a long time. The CM said that tourists would not face parking problems now in Mussoorie. He said that the focus on home stay scheme is being done to promote tourism in the state. The CM said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has envisioned that Uttarakhand would be the leading state of the country in the year 2025 and the state government is doing every possible effort to fulfill his dream. He said that many schemes of welfare are being operated in the country under the leadership of PM Modi and Uttarakhand has received direct benefit of these schemes.  

The CM inaugurated the building of Mussoorie town hall (Rs 18.20 crore) and Multilevel parking worth Rs 31.95 crore at King Craig on the occasion. He laid the foundation stone of Mussoorie drinking water project and a housing project for the families shifted from IDH Landaur, Shifan court. He also announced that a parking spot of 500 vehicle capacity would be built at Zero point.

Speaking on the occasion, the cabinet minister and MLA from Mussoorie Ganesh Joshi said that the projects given by CM Dhami would give a fillip to the tourism in Mussoorie. The chairman of Mussoorie Municipal council Anuj Gupta, president of Dehradun district BJP Shamsher Singh Pundir and others were present on the occasion.
