CM Dhami holds Janata Darbar, assures prompt action on grievances

A total of 741 complaints and issues were received in the programme out of which 253 were related to financial assistance

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami listened to the grievances of the people in the Janata Darbar programme organised at his residence on Saturday. Large number of people came to the programme with their problems. On the orders of the CM, the grievances of all were entered in a register. A total of 741 complaints and issues were received in the programme out of which 253 were related to financial assistance. Dhami heard the complaints one by one and directed the officials concerned to solve them. He said that all complaints received in the programme would be monitored and directed the officers to solve them.

Ravi Singh Rauthan of Haridwar told the CM that his father who has retired from education department has not received his Provident Fund amount and alleged that the settlement is deliberately being delayed. Suhas Haldar of Shakti farm complained that he has not received the instalment of Kisan Samman Nidhi. Rajesh Kumar Saini of Haridwar said that police are not heeding to his complaint in a case. The CM asked the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) to investigate the issue properly so that the complainants are spared from making unnecessary rounds of offices. Pradeep Kumar and Abhishek Sharma complained about non approval of the map of their houses. On the request of Sardar Singh of Samlta regarding repair of the road in his area, the CM said that a campaign to make the roads of the state free from potholes is being launched from September 15. Many youngsters had come to the programme and they informed the CM that large numbers of posts in many departments are vacant which should be filled. Dhami told them that a mega recruitment drive to fill vacant posts has started and camps to promote self employment opportunities are being organised. Many complaints regarding roads, drinking water and electricity were received during the programme.

The cabinet minister Dhan Singh Rawat, MLAs Khajan Das, Dilip Rawat, Mukesh Koli, secretary Shailesh Bagauli, secretary in charge S N Pandey, Garhwal Commissioner Ravinath Raman, DIG Niru Garg, district magistrate (DM) of Dehradun R Rajesh Kumar and other attended the programme.
