CM congratulates PM on pushing past Indira Gandhi’s record

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of the people of his State on completing the second longest tenure as Prime Minister in the history of independent India. Notably, Modi has crossed yet another milestone as he has overtaken Indira Gandhi’s record of becoming India’s second-longest-serving Prime Minister in one go. On July 25, 2025, Modi completed 4,078 days in office, crossing Indira Gandhi’s 4,077-day consecutive tenure between January 1966 and March 1977.
Dhami in his congratulatory message said that PM Modi has catapulted India in the global stage, making it a force to reckon with in the international fora. Besides, he has ushered in unprecedented development whose fruits are percolating down to the last man in the society, the CM added.
