A brawl over a motorbike’s silencer making a firecracker-like sound turned into a clash between two groups of people belonging to different communities late Tuesday night near Coronation Hospital, resulting in injuries sustained by seven people.
A police team from Dalanwala police station rushed to the spot and brought things under control by dispersing the mobs. The injured persons were transported to Coronation Hospital. Later, a case was registered under sections 115(2), 190(2)(3), 324(4),351(2),352,74 BNS and the SC/ST Act against the principal accused Unman and six others.
The circle officer, Dalanwala, Anuj Arya said that they had intervened at the right time and taken appropriate action to stop the fighting and restore peace. “We have registered a case and a probe is on,” he added.
