Chief secretary inspects works in Badrinath & Hemkund

Chief secretary SS Sandhu inspected arrangements at Badrinath and Hemkund Sahib while also checking the reconstruction works being undertaken as part of the master plan in Badrinath on Tuesday.

Reaching Hemkund first the chief secretary inspected the helipad constructed for emergency and rescue works, track railing, Sulabh Shauchalaya, and other construction works. He also paid obeisance at the Gurudwara during his visit.

Later, Sandhu visited Badrinath by helicopter and inspected the construction works being undertaken as part of the first stage of reconstruction under the master plan. He directed the officials concerned to expedite the construction works in the temple township. Chamoli district magistrate Himanshu Khurana informed the chief secretary about the progress of construction works in Badrinath. Sandhu also paid obeisance at the Badrinath temple along with inspecting the road under the Musa Pani Tak border development plan.
