Char Dham Yatra-2025 will break all past records: Dhami

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the Char Dham Yatra-2025 will break all the past records of arrival of the pilgrims in the State. He was addressing a programme ‘Char Dham Yatra-2025 from Rishikesh’ organised by the Sanyukt Rotation Yatra Vyavastha Samiti at the ISBT in Rishikesh on Saturday.
Welcoming all the pilgrims, the CM said that the State government is committed to ensuring a safe Char Dham Yatra this year. He said continuous monitoring of the Yatra preparations at every level is going on and expressed confidence that the pilgrims will go back home with happy memories. Dhami said that every year lakhs of pilgrims from different parts of the country and world visit Uttarakhand for the Yatra and it creates employment opportunities for the people of the State. He said that every possible effort is being made to provide facilities to the pilgrims. The CM appealed to the pilgrims and tourists visiting the State to cooperate in maintaining sanitation and cleanliness. He said that the focus of the government this year is on clean and green Yatra.
Dhami said that work on the reconstruction of Kedarnath and master plan of Badrinath is being done at a fast pace. The Yatra will become more accessible after the construction of Gaurikund-Kedarnath ropeway. He said that the construction of the all-weather road has reduced the travel time for the Char Dham.
The CM flagged off 10 buses bound for the Char Dham Yatra on the occasion.
Cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal, MLA Prem Chand Agarwal, mayor Sambhu Paswan and others attended the programme.
