Kothiyal challenges CM to open debate on employment in U’khand

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and chief ministerial candidate of the party Ajay Kothiyal has challenged the Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to an open debate on employment opportunities for unemployed youths in the state. He said that since the state government consistently claims to have provided  thousands of jobs to the youths here in the past five years, Dhami should release a white paper to describe these claims in public.

He said that the unemployment rate has consistently increased in the state in recent years and statistically, Uttarakhand has the maximum number of unemployed people in the country but the CM still claims of providing thousands of employment opportunities in the past five years. He said, “If thousands of jobs were given under BJP, why the unemployment rate is highest in the state? It is disgraceful for the state. There is no dearth of talent here but youth has to suffer due to the lack of vision of the government to provide employment opportunities.” He added, “The situation is so worse here that who knows when the CM himself becomes unemployed.” Kothiyal said that if all the claims made by Dhami and his party are true then he should participate in the debate. “I invite the CM for an open debate on employment opportunities for unemployed youths. He can describe his party’s achievements on employment and visions to provide employment opportunities.

I am ready to debate on this topic at any time and place given by the CM,” asserted Kothiyal. He said that the state government has failed at many major fronts, especially in providing employment that has caused a substantial increase in the migration of people from mountainous areas. “If AAP comes to power next year, the party will stringently work to provide employment opportunities in every part of the state,” added the AAP leader.
