CBP workshop on adolescent education concludes at The Asian School

A two-day capacity building programme (CBP) workshop on Adolescent Education conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at The Asian School concluded on Tuesday. The workshop, held from 9 AM to 5 PM on both days, brought together 66 educators from various CBSE-affiliated schools across the region. Among the dignitaries present were the vice- principal of M S Public School, Sonipat, Haryana,Anil Kumar Goyal and the principal of The Horizon School, Dehradun,Namrata Sharma. Senior functionaries of The Asian School said that both have extensive experiences in adolescent psychology and educational leadership, adding that the workshop aimed to empower educators with essential insights and practical strategies to support adolescents during this transformative stage of development. Key themes included: understanding the physical, emotional, and psychological changes during adolescence; effective communication and counselling techniques; promoting life skills and values-based education; addressing peer pressure, bullying and internet safety and creating a supportive and inclusive school environment.

Interactive activities such as case studies, role plays and group discussions were held during the sessions. The workshop concluded with a feedback session in which participants appreciated the insights shared and the opportunity to introspect and enhance their teaching practices. Certificates of participation were awarded to all the attendees.
