The members of the Deol family immersed the ashes of the legendary actor, Dharmendra at the private ghat of a hotel in Shravannath Nagar in Haridwar on Wednesday morning. The ceremony, packed with emotions, was, however, kept strictly private with the media kept away.
Among those present were the sons of the veteran actor, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol and Sunny’s son Karan Deol besides the priests who presided over the ceremony. They were all visibly emotional while trying hard to hold back tears. As soon as the Asthi Visarjan was performed, the members of the family departed for the airport. They had arrived at Haridwar on Tuesday to perform the ceremony.
Dharmendra passed away on November 24 at the age of 89 following a protracted age-related illness.
